Peddler's Podium - Just Desserts!

If you know me at all then you know that I have an insatiable appetite for sweets. When others around me say "Oh this is just so rich I can only eat a few bites", I say "Grab me a fork!". I have very little understanding of too sweet and too rich (and sometimes too full), so therefore I have to take some measures to prevent myself from going overboard. One of the ways I do this is to seek out mini desserts, or as I like to call them, little bites O' yum. Built in portion control is all I have to say! Today instead of featuring only one remarkable seller, I am featuring multiple sellers who all have one thing in common... they make delectably luscious little desserts!

Beauty Tips Tuesday - Spring Must Haves!

For today's Beauty Tip I bring to you my top Must Haves for Spring! These versatile accessory pieces can breathe new life into last year's warm weather wardrobe basics, and they won't break the bank!
Denim jackets are a classic and they never go out of style. Chances are you already own one and it is time to dig it out! They are the perfect transitional piece to get you through the cooler days of Spring, and denim is the ultimate neutral that can be worn with just about anything in your closet.
If you have already tossed yours out, or your jacket somehow fell victim to any sort of bedazzled, bejeweled, bead attack, let it now be junk. You can pick yourself up a new one with little impact on your pocket. I like this one from Eddie Bauer for $59.50.

These aviator style sunglasses from ALDO are the perfect accessory at the perfect price! At just $12.00 a pair, it makes keeping up with the trend more affordable then ever!

I love a great scarf! In my opinion they are the ultimate accessory piece because of their versatility. I am never caught without one while traveling! One really great scarf can be used so many different ways; as a cover up at the beach, a blanket on a plane, a shawl when it's chilly, a casual skirt on vacation, a head wrap, a nursing cover, and in a pinch (and if water compatible), a towel. A scarf can also add a serious punch of color and can instantly pull together an outfit. I found these lovely scarves at Nordstrom for $32.50 ea, but scarves can be found just about anywhere in all price ranges. Just take a look around!

A great tote in a vibrant color will not only hold all your Spring essentials, but add a visual punch to your ensemble as well. Like I said before, the right accessories can really update clothes you already own, saving you time/effort and most importantly, money! I love the color of this bag and in my opinion is the perfect size. Not keen on the hue? It comes in many juicy colors and is handmade. It can be purchased at bayan hippo for $32.

After a long drying winter, lips will likely be a bit chapped and in need of hydration. Spring is about renewal and so is this lovely lip treatment by Fresh. Chalked full of antioxidants, reparative oils, and delectable real sugar, this treatment will get your lips back in shape in no time. Not to mention it contains an SPF 15, so that combined with the antioxidants will protect your luscious pout from further damage. Just remember it is a treatment and not a chapstick and reflects that in the price. It costs $22.50, but I feel it is a worthy investment for those struggling with chronic winter dryness!

Lust and Must Monday

Easter is just two weeks away! For me it is the true hallmark of Spring and I just love getting my brood all dolled up for great family snapshots! For those of you with children, you know how expensive it can be to dress them for the occasion. For me, I always look for threads that are versatile enough to be worn all throughout the warmer months so that I get the most for my money. Today's cutified Lust and Must dresses are perfectly styled for a summer of fun!

Peddler's Podium - Purpose Design

Always a sucker for delectable packaging, my heart once again skipped a beat when I stumbled upon the spice kits offered at Purpose Design. I have always thought that the color and textures of spices were naturally beautiful and am so excited to see them showcased in such a perfect way! The designer behind these creative kits is Julie, and her take on your basic kitchen spice is nothing less then an art form. From test tubes to tins, she makes spicing your food not only convenient, but surely inspiring! With kits spanning many different flavor families including customized kits, I am positive you will find a collection to suit even the pickiest of taste buds. A fan of Chai Tea? You can find tea kits, salt blends, and a smattering of homeware goodies in Julie's shop too. Wouldn't one these kits make the perfect gift? With all the upcoming summer celebrations, (weddings, graduations, housewarmings, etc.) you could guarantee your gift to be something unique, stylish, and handmade(my personal favorite)!

Goodies from the Postman!

O.K. well not really from my Postman. But he did have a hand in making sure the package made it safely to my door, so some credit should be given, (even though I have yet to get that dude to crack a smile). As far as the contents of that package, it contained a screen printed tea towel that I was so lucky to have WON from a contest that I had entered on fellow Etsian Cristina's blog. I must say that this towel is Superfabulous! Not only does it look amazing in my "martini olive" green kitchen, but I love that they leave my glasses lint free. And yes we hand dry in this house because get this . . . we don't have a dish washer! Ho hum. The tea towel is crafted by the ever so talented (musically too, just check out her website, she has videos and everything), of The Heated. I must tell you that I am so very impressed with the quality of her work, and after reading her blog, much enjoy the cheekiness of her wit!
